Living Christ
Campaign Goals
After many months of careful prayer and planning,
the Diocese of Toledo is embarking upon a major fundraising campaign. This diocesan-wide initiative will support important endowment, programmatic, and capital needs to fund all of our 122 parishes and pastoral ministries. The Living Christ campaign will raise $65 million to maintain the vitality of our local Church for this generation and beyond. We will accomplish this by prioritizing:
Strengthening Our Parishes
Providing parishes with the opportunity to identify local projects to support the livelihood of local ministries.
Supporting Our Clergy
Ensuring care for our active and retired priests, as well as to bolster our support for seminarian education.
Caring for the Poor
Increasing Catholic Charities services in key geographic regions within the diocese and through capital improvements toward Helping Hands.
Emerging Disciples
Building upon and maintaining the excellence of our Catholic schools and enhancing the Catholic presence in institutions of higher education throughout the diocese.
Restoring Our Mother Church
Tending to the capital and maintenance needs of Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, the Mother Church of our diocese.
Forming Our Lay Leaders
Enhancing lay leadership capabilities for service in the Church through education, training, and skill development.
“Through the Living Christ campaign, we will fulfill our responsibility as faithful Catholics to serve those in need. This campaign will address the physical and spiritual poverty of the communities that seek God’s grace in every corner of the diocese. Each of the case elements that the campaign will fund gives depth to our diocesan obligation to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ, wherever they may find themselves on their personal faith journey.”
Most Reverend Daniel E. Thomas
Bishop of Toledo
