Creating a Legacy
Through this campaign, the Diocese of Toledo will take the next step in its storied, century-plus history.
Fully embracing the diocesan mission to foster holy disciples, holy families, and holy vocations, we will ensure that the Catholic Church in Northwest Ohio is unified, energized, and able to face the challenges of an ever-changing world. Guided by Christ, this exercise of responsible stewardship will bear the fruit that sacrificial giving makes possible.
The campaign will provide for future engagement through faith formation ministries, clergy investment, Catholic education investment, and increased outreach to the communities that need our ministries the most. An undertaking such as this is never easy, but with God’s blessing and grace, we will surely succeed.
Pledges made during the campaign will have the capability to be fulfilled over the course of a three- to five-year period. As pledges are fulfilled, the ministries outlined by the campaign will receive proportionate funding to ensure the needs of the campaign are met. Informed by principles of Catholic stewardship, the Diocese of Toledo established an independent Catholic foundation to ensure the endowed funds will be protected in perpetuity, honoring donor intent.
Strengthening Our Parishes
An endowment to address the current needs of our parishes and empower the long-term health of parishes through continuing formation, intentional planning, and sharing best practices.
Supporting Our Clergy
Two separate endowments dedicated to meeting the immediate needs of current and future seminarians, as well as active and retired priests.
Caring for the Poor
An endowment to maintain and extend Catholic Charities’ presence throughout the Diocese of Toledo.
Emerging Disciples
Two new endowments that provide immediate resources and training for those who form students, as well as a fund for affecting young adult and campus ministries.
Restoring Our Mother Church
An endowment that will provide dedicated resources for our Mother Church to endure for generations to come.
Forming Our Lay Leaders
An endowment to maintain a singular, faith-based learning platform for our lay leaders and equip them with resources, skill development, and a knowledge base that will create a lasting impact on our diocese.
